As you may have read on the "About" page, one of my goals is to highlight role models all around us that demonstrate diverse forms of true beauty. I believe that one of the major issues with distorted values of beauty is a lack of realistic, accessible, truly relatable role models. 

Likewise, social media creates distance between who we admire and the reality of their lives. We often look up to pop culture icons whose lives are distorted by media and the nature of surface level pictures.

In order to replace high pressure, unrealistic ideals of beauty and value we must have something to put in that place instead.

There are real life role models all around us who bring lessons, ideas, and insight that we can learn from first hand. They are accessible, relatable, and usually right under our noses. They often go uncelebrated or are not given much time or space to be able to share their insight. Everybody is capable of being a role model, and I am honored to be able to feature some incredible people here for us to appreciate and learn from.
